Applications of Tungsten and Molybdenum Materials

Tungsten-molybdenum and their alloys are important materials for electronic and power equipment manufacturing, metal material processing, glass manufacturing, high-temperature furnace structural parts manufacturing, aerospace and national defense industry applications due to their good thermal and electrical conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient, high temperature strength, low vapor pressure and wear resistance.

Sputtering target :Sputtering target are mainly used in glass coating, thin film solar energy, microelectronics, flat panel display and other industries.

Monocrystalline silicon furnace:Because of its high temperature resistance and low volatile performance, tungsten and molybdenum materials are widely used inmonocrystalline or polycrystalline silicon furnace, such as molybdenum hook, diversion tube, heavy hammer and so on.

High temperature vacuum furnace:The high temperature industry is the earliest and most widely used field of tungsten and molybdenum metals. Tungsten and molybdenum metals have high melting point, low steam pressure, low thermal expansion coefficient, excellent high temperature strength and creep resistance, which can meet the harsh requirements of high temperature furnaces for materials.

Electronic semiconductor industry:Tungsten and molybdenum materials are used for ion implantation parts, MOCVD systems in the LED industry, electronic heat sink and packaging materials.

Industrial counterweight field:The density of tungsten heavy alloys is as high as 16.8-18.8g/cm3. Tungsten alloys are often used as counterweight materials due to their heavy ratios.Balancing weights such as: racing weights, aerospace gyroscopes, clocks pendulums, fish pendulums, golf weights, medical instruments weights, etc.

Radiation shielding area:Tungsten and tungsten alloys, because of their extremely high density, are highly ray absorbent, resistant to wear and free of environmental pollution.Therefore, tungsten and its alloys are increasingly used to protect radioactive medical and industrial devices.
